Ward Park Runners Committee Roles and Responsibilities

Chairperson - Dale H.

Key Tasks:

  • Acts as a spokesperson for the club
  • Provide direction and leadership Chair meetings
  • Delegation of tasks
  • Ensures the smooth running of the club/society

Vice Chair - David Y.

  • The Vice Chair shares the Chairing responsibilities.
    Good communication between the Chair and Vice Chair is key to success!

Secretary - Rhiannon T.

Key Tasks:

  • To take minutes at any meeting
  • Administration, collecting the post, room bookings,
  • Process and procedure development
  • To collate all the names and contact information of all the members of the club
  • To update any changes to the clubs constitution
  • Communicate regularly with members
  • Keep equipment records

Treasurer - Andy LG.

Key Tasks:

  • Make grant application/s
  • Maintain accounts of all income and expenditure and make claims
  • To draw up the club's budget
  • To liaise with the Chair/Secretary on any matters of finance
  • Organise affiliation to Athletics NI (Works with Membership Secretary)
  • Collect membership fees (Works with Membership Secretary)

Membership Secretary - Terry M.

Key Tasks:

  • To liaise with the Chair/Secretary on any matters of finance
  • Organise affiliation to Athletics NI (Works with Treasurer)
  • Collect membership fees (Works with Membership Secretary)
  • Works with Treasurer/ Kit and Equipment manager for funding applications
  • Ensure that our club provides opportunities for new members and beginners to get involved.

Social Media Manager - Oran K.

Key Tasks:

  • Maintain the club website
  • Manage social media platforms and update members about events, fixtures, training etc.

Kit & Equipment Manager - Ian McE.

Key Tasks:

  • Organise club branded clothing (Works with Chair/ Treasurer)
  • Keep equipment records (liaise with Secretary on equipment and kit)
  • Liaise with Treasurer/ Secretary on needs for equipment and funding applications

  • Acts as a spokesperson for the club members
  • Ensures any issues are voiced to the committee
  • Supports the Chairperson
